For a starting ice breaker, here are a few current bullet points about my life! 29 years old, Photography amateur, craft beer nerd, love the outdoors, travel mongrel, scrapbooker, newbie to card making, and moved to the Bay Area February of 2019 for a big girl job at a small healthcare group that provides therapy services primarily (but not exclusively)for kiddos with Autism.
If you don't know me outside of this blog, here is a little more background...my name is Sara and I am from a small town called Truckee located on the California side just north of gorgeous Lake Tahoe. When I was in high school, my mom bought a little scrapbook store in our town. Spending time helping her after school and on weekends, I quickly became fascinated with paper crafting. When I went to college at the University of Nevada in Reno, I studied photography. I even got to take a book arts class, where I kid you not I got college credit to do what I love! A scrapbooker's dream, haha!
Eventually after almost 10 years of owning our store, Mom and I closed up shop. Of course we always planned on reopening and still often speak of doing so, but well we all know how busy life can get and it just has never managed to happen...at least not yet! In the meantime, we have enjoyed paper crafting together anywhere we have space to do it! At a scrapbooking retreat, I was introduced by the host of the event to this amazing company, Close to my Heart. The products obviously grabbed me initially because it was all so cute. After playing with some of it, the quality was what hooked me. I immediately decided I wanted to sign up to be a consultant, something I have never done before! Join me in this awesome journey that we take on every day, but more importantly in my crazy new adventure with the CTMH family!
Until next time...Cheers and Happy Crafting!
